Hello again. Since our first bonsai class we have gone a little mad. A little mad purchasing trees to create bonsai. Chris and I visited Schley's Bonsai Nursery and couldn't believe the assortment of bonsai trees he had available. This is where we went a little mad. We purchased two serissa or snow rose, a crepe myrtle, a premna microphylla and a schefflera or Hawaiian umbrella tree. Jason, the owner of Schley's nursery was very helpful and spent a considerable amount of time with us walking through his vast nursery. He explained which trees are good for beginners and which are more advanced. Jason also told us about the Kawa Bonsai Society which meets once a month at his nursery. Fantastic! We didn't hesitate to join. Our first "meeting" wasn't really a meeting as they were having their summer tropical event.
